Invertebrate Music is a New York City-based, multi-faceted organization modernizing and expanding the traditional idea of a record label by operating in multiple industry sectors, including management, event production, booking, and more. Invertebrate is committed to creativity and innovation in the realm of alternative, independent rock, bringing the music we believe in to larger platforms of recognition, exposure, and distribution. We take a holistic approach to the investment in our roster, viewing each act as a comprehensive artistic entity and offering label services, management, booking, and in-house and/or contracted PR.

Our promotions arm has developed into the company’s strongest division, however, after two years of booking NYC shows. We have curated official showcases for CMJ Music Marathon and Mondo.NYC, and have had events covered by Time Out New York, Brooklyn Vegan, The Deli Magazine, and The Village Voice, among other publications. We also produce and program the annual Summer’s End Music Festival, which has featured performances from Guerilla Toss, Honduras, Pill, Mal Blum, Milo, Ricky Eat Acid, Anna Wise and Sonnymoon, Leaping, Tall Juan, Fern Mayo, Pupppy, Peaer, Oso Oso, Turnip King, Evolfo, Acid Dad, Jawbreaker Reunion, Adam Schatz's Civil Engineering, Friend Roulette, Altopalo, Human People, Crazy and The Brains, gobbinjr, Emily Yacino, Maxo, Surf Rock Is Dead, Yours Are The Only Ears, Vinegar Mother, and Beth Israel.

Additional examples of artists we have worked with include Sunflower Bean, Kool A.D, Diet Cig, Girlpool’s Harmony Tividad, Homeshake, Adult Mom, Haybaby, Doubting Thomas Cruise Control, Rivergazer, Dirty Dishes, The Walters, Nicholas Nicholas, Small Wonder, Gingerlys, Onyx Collective, and The Breathing Effect.
